The main-round opening of the UEFA Futsal Champions League Group 8 in Ljubljana got off to a spectacular start on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, as host city Ljubljana welcomed top-class club futsal at the Dvorana Kodeljevo.

The first match of the evening kicked off at 17:00 CET, featuring Ukrainian powerhouse FC HIT KYIV vs. North Macedonian champions KMF Forca 2015. FC HIT KYIV justified their role of the heavy favourite and delivered a polished performance which secured them a 10-2 victory to start their campaign in the Ljubljana main round.

Meanwhile expectations were high for the second fixture at 20:00 CET—between the Ukrainian side FC KYIV Futsal and Slovenian entrants FC Vrhnika—with local fans hoping for a strong home showing.

After spectacular match in which both teams had a lead, against all the odds the Slovenian youngsters manage to pinch a point from the heavy favourite and keep their dream alive. The final score FC KYIV : FC VRHNIKA 2-2.
